After realising I was never going to be able to tour the world as a drummer in a grunge band, I turned my energy to photography and studied photojournalism. Within six months I was assisting in a digital studio in Surfers Paradise, shooting model portfolios for agencies and assisting an advertising photographer in Brisbane.

From 2001I started working for a wedding company that sent me to Hawaii to be trained in their alternative style of wedding photography. In Hawaii I worked with eight different photographers shooting up to two weddings a day before returning to Queensland to shoot weddings for them for the next few years.

In 2003 after a few years of freelancing in Qld, I moved to the UK to work as an assistant to some of London’s leading photographers including Jason Bell, Candice, Jon Shard and Paul Postle shooting actors, musicians, and models for magazines and advertising clients. This experience helped me develop a style of my own by mixing the technical elements of different photographers I liked into my own work.

Since 2006 I have worked fulltime as a press photographer for News Limited and Fairfax newspapers while freelancing for clients including Telstra, Terry White Chemist, Bigpond, Harvey Clemenger Brisbane, All Industrial Abseiling, Tamar Valley Resort, Vos Construction, Enterprise Magazine and many smaller companies and individuals. And published in Gourmet Traveller, Culture Hair Magazine, The Sunday Telegraph, Courier Mail, The Financial Review, Who Magazine, Architecture Australia, Weekender Magazine, The Examiner, The Mercury and The Noosa Journal.
